Kosovo: KOMF awards seven NGOs to support the development of Municipal Action Plans for Child Protection

Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection – KOMF, will provide sub grants for seven local organizations that will be supporting the development of municipal action plans for child protection, in seven municipalities in Kosovo. The support is provided through the project “Protection of Child Rights in Kosovo” funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo, and the total value of the award is 111,977.60 €. The project aims to strengthen the capacities of local civil society organisations in the areas of advocacy and protection of the rights of children. Sub granted local NGOs will work with and support seven municipalities to develop action plans on child rights protection.

Following the call for proposals and the completion of the evaluation process the project is officially announcing the awarded organizations as follows:

  • For the municipality of Prishtina / Pristina: Civil Rights Program Kosovo – CRPK
  • For the municipality of Fushë Kosova / Kosovo Polje: AKTI NGO
  • For the municipality of Gjilan / Gnjilane: Network of Peace Movement – NOPM
  • For the municipality of Mitrovica: Shpresa dhe Shtëpi për Fëmijët – SDSF
  • For the municipality of Peja / Peć: George Williams Youth Association – GWYA
  • For the municipality of Lipjan / Lipljan: POLIS
  • For the municipality of Ferizaj / Uroševac: Organizata e Fëmijëve pa Kujdes Prindëror – OFAP
