The event „Network of Organizations for the Children of Serbia (MODS) Friend Club – Wholeheartedly for the children of Serbia!“ was held in Hotel Courtyard Marriott in Belgrade.
A memorandum of cooperation was signed with the ambassadors of MODS – – Ms. Aleksandra Radovic, Ms.Ana Stanic and Mr.Vasil Hadzimanov, who opened the event with his a famous jazz piece. Special thanks were also extended to Serbia men’s national water polo team, ambassadors of MODS, who were not able to attend the event.
The polo team has recently recorded the promotional video in which the children’s rights and the mission of the Network of Organizations for the Children of Serbia are affirmed. The ambassadors have spoken in front of the audience and cordially supported our organisation in its mission to enable the exercise of children’s rights, to work on the improvement of their position and the quality of life of all children in Serbia.
The event was opened by the President of „Parent“ association, and the President of MODS Steering Committee Ms. Dragana Socanin. She emphasized the significance of cooperation with MODS’s ambassadors, who will be included in promotion of children’s rights in Serbia. The presentation of the programme goals of MODS was given by the Director of MODS, Mr. Sasa Stefanovic, by stating the most important goals of MODS – decrease of poverty for children and families with children; quality education for all children; protection of children from violence and equal access to health care for all.
Speeches were also given by the members of the Supervisory board – Ms. Aleksandra Jović from UNICEF, Ms. Marija Petrovic from the Child Rights Center, the representative of Agroinvest Foundation, Ms. Iva Kljakic and Ms. Neda Salai, Head of Marketing and corporative communications of MODS. The event was also attended by the representative of the Hotel Courtyard by Marriott, Ms. Ivana Sajkovic, associate of MODS and Vlada Zaric from Leo Burnnet, in charge of the digital media.
The following companies attended the event „MODS Friend Club – Wholeheartedly for the children of Serbia!“: Aksa Kids Mega Store (Ms. Jelena Stancic), HalkBank (Mr. Fatih Karaca and Ms. Maja Naumovska), Pertini (Ms. Milica Saponjic) and Metro Cash and Carry (Ms. Andrea Radonjic). Special thanks went to Ms. Jelena Stancic and the Aksa Kids Mega Store Company, who was the first to support MODS and the Competition for MODS mascot, which will be made in the shape of children’s toy and will be used in the animated movies, which promote children’s rights and the mission of MODS. By supporting MODS, Aksa wishes to support the activities with the purpose of children’s protection and the improvement of their position in all segments of life. The representatives of Network of Organizations for the Children of Serbia announced their next event for September this year.
