Circle of Friends formed by the Network of Organizations for Children of Serbia – MODS

The Network of Organization for Children of Serbia – MODS  held the first constituent meeting of Circle of Friends of MODS in Belgrade on 18th of December 2013.

The Circle of Friends of MODS consists of representatives from various institutions, international organizations, the corporate sector and academic community. The Circle of Friends of MODS is purposed to support MODS’ financial and advocacy positioning with donors and government representatives.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Actavis, Agroinvest Foundation, The Faculty of Philosophy – University of Belgrade, Fund B92, Foundation Ana and Vlade Divac, Institute for Sustainable Communities – ISC, Mission of OEBS in Serbia, Trag Foundation, UNICEF, World Vision and representatives from organizational members of MODS, such as the Association for Development of Children and Youth – Open Club Nis, NGO Parent from Belgrade and NGO Step Forward from Krusevac. At the meeting, participants formulated a joint statement for cooperation..

The Circle of Friends of MODS is an advisory body of the Network of Organizations for Children of Serbia and its inception is part of MODS’  four-year strategic development plan.

With the support of the Circle of Friends, MODS is working to ensure that the rights of children are equally respected for all children in Serbia, no matter race, ethnicity, religion or social class.

MODS believes that substantial investments in the lives of children provide a high return in communities and for the country. Cooperation based on shared values will serve as a platform for the development of initiatives and partnerships on  specific children rights issues.
