The Bulgarian National Network for Children in collaboration with the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria (NAMRB) and the support of the Embassy of the French Republic in Bulgaria presented 13 practices for successful cooperation between non-government organizations and municipalities in the field of children and families policies.

The 13 examined practices tell in a simple language exciting human stories, focusing the attention on comprehensive families services prevention and supply, development of alternative care forms such as foster care, support to grown up children, living the care institutions, services or other forms of direct support provision as part of social initiative for effective social inclusion. The Handbook describes in detail the various steps to establish cooperation at local level and profoundly explains why it is so important to provide social services closer to the people.

The Handbook’s version in Bulgarian was presented on July 9th, 2013 at the Residence of the French Republic. The event was hosted H.E. Mr. Philippe Autie, Ambassador of the French Republic in Bulgaria.

The Handbook is now available in French and Romanian.
