The European Union has a vital interest in seeing stability, better governance and economic development at its Eastern borders. At the same time, the Eastern partners seek to intensify their relations with the EU. ChildPact believes that child protection should be considered as a priority field of cooperation, having in mind that the EU ‘new’ Member States (in particular) share a similar legacy in the field of child protection. ChildPact attended this year’s Eap CSF by participating at the WG1 to emphasize the importance of regional cooperation for child protection.
